What to do in Puerto Rico Flying into San Jaun in the middle of March with a buddy for Spring break. Looking for the best city to stay in or around. Will have a rental...

1. Unless you stay at an all inclusive resort you'll have an authentic experience whether you want it or not. 2. We don't have resort towns like Cancún or Punta Cana in Puerto Rico and our all inclusive resorts aren't really all that inclusive. 3. Where you can stay will depend on whether you'll have a car or not. Will you rent a car? 4. When and where is your mother from? Unless she left Puerto Rico fairly recently her Puerto Rico will be gone but we might be able to help you recreate the experience.

Hey! First you should go to http://www.seepuertorico.com for some tips. As for where to eat it really depends on where you plan to stay and what you like.

San Juan and Isla Verde are very touristy, more like beaches, bars and restaurants w/ locals and tourists side to side. I’d recommend that you stay in either area as everything is easier from there. 1) Take a day trip to old San Juan and walk the entire old city, it would take more than a day to visit every place, but you decide on the pace. 2) If you are into coffee, make a day trip to an Hacienda in the mountains (it may be a long 2 hrs trip, but absolutely worth it). Check their websites for more info. If you don’t want to travel that far, you can go to [Hacienda Muñoz ](http://www.cafehaciendamunoz.com) and have the Hacienda experience in a smaller, but closer to San Juan setting, they have a very good restaurant and a small bar. 3) For another day trip I’d recommend Ponce. Go to La Guancha and enjoy the day siping pina coladas and people watching. There are places like la cruceta del vigía, el castillo serralles, and la plaza de Ponce that are worth visiting. 4) You can take the ferry in Fajardo and visit Vieques for the day (you will need to rent a Jeep or other sort of vehicle while there, I’m not sure if you can take your rental into the ferry with you). 5) Finally you can visit Rincon, there are fantastic beaches and cool bars, try to stay there so you don’t need to drive back to San Juan the same night (Airbnb for this one).
After Maria, not everyplace is open so, I don’t recommend venturing your self into the wild! Good luck and hope you have a great time! Enjoy!!!

Renting a car Hello, I am 23 and want to rent a car but theres so many under age fee's. Does anyone know any good local car rental spots that do not charge rental fee's...

Just some word of advice, you're not going to find a cheap rental anytime soon so I'd recommend just booking the best priced rental asap. You can always cancel if you find a better deal. I don't know what's going on with the rental car companies but they've been running out of cars a lot lately. And the prices do seem a bit higher than normal.

There is no such thing as a cheap car rental in Puerto Rico right now.....you better strike while prices are relatively low because when the summer hits and vaccinated people start flooding to the island, you are really going to regret not locking up the rate today
