I'd also recommend CareCredit if you are in need of emergency medical funds. (Even with bad or no credit) Most vets around here accept it. They cover vets, dentist, eye doctors ect. It comes in handy.

Springtown Vet office in San Marcos has an online coupon that is first visit free! I took my dog there. Visits after first visit are still very inexpensive and around 30 something dollars. Nice people!!!

Kings highway has been great for me. Honestly, most of the vets in San Marcos are great. Call around and get some quotes. See what the price range is and go with what you can afford.

First off, fill out an application for a voucher here: http://www.preventalitter.com/ If you qualify, and you probably will, because most people do (I did), it will pay for your spay at King's Highway. You will only have to pay for a rabies shot if you don't already have one that is documented. Also, they were super nice at King's Highway. Source: I just went through this process about 2 weeks ago.

If you are just looking for spaying and vaccinations, the Emancipet mobile clinic comes to PAWS in Kyle about every 3 weeks. They also regularly visit Wimberley. They are as cheap as you will find and they do a good job. You drop off the cats in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. If you can wait, there will probably be some free spay/neuter clinics in conjunction with World Spay Day on Feb 24, 2015.

Check out Tickle-Blagg. It's on the east side of Hopkins across from the gas station/Hastings. I know Dr. Blagg personally and have never had a more pleasant veterinary experience. He cares about the client as much as he cares about their pets. I take all my animals there

I second Williams Veterinary. They have a small country vet feel to them and they are affordable. Whenever we took our cat there they really took time to be gentle with her and make her feel comfortable. When the vet (who was a grown man) started talking baby talk to our kitten I was sold.

Rigsby Vet Mercy like everyone said Dr Proctor is great with the pets booster shots are $35 but if you wanna save some cash call SpaySA they charge $15 for booster shots but remember there are 3 booster shots your dog has to get then the rabies shot after the booster we take all our pets to Rigsby Vet its pass W W White Rd on the left side next to the car wash like going to Walmart
