Does anyone know of a good dog trainer? I've had my basset pit for 2 years no problems. I brought home a chi-weenie 4 months ago and now my chickens are being eaten...

If you are serious, contact Dr. Janet Brennan. She sees consults through Pacific vet in Capitola. She is not only a trainer but a behaviourist and a DVM. She has changed the lives of sooo many dogs and families. I wouldn't see anyone else. It's also reward based.

Pam Jackson out of Salinas. She has a Facebook page. Over 30 years experience! Definitely the best trainer I know. Check her out!

I use electric poultry netting all the time. It is completely portable. Chickens are not contained by the electricity (their feathers insulate them completely) -- the netting is small enough so they can't fit through, and the electricity keeps predators out. To learn about poultry containment systems I highly recommend premier1 supplies.com
Thanks for all the great input on trainers. Does anyone have any input pro or con on Petco classes, Living With Dogs or Karma Dog Training? I was thinking of a class...

Mardi Richmond at Good Dog Santa Cruz is awesome and also teaches classes - http://www.gooddogsantacruz.com/Classes.html .
