Mr Taylor Steel(!) custom built two sets of shelves and custom built hand rails for my front and back stairs. 210-238-3516 He was fast, inexpensive, and very professional. He doesn't do roofing, but he does almost everything else. I found him on some find-a-contractor website and he had very good reviews. I will definitely be using him again.

if you ever need electric, i've used Switch Electric a couple of times. great guy. he put in 3 outdoor ceiling fans + added an outdoor outlet. there's a plumber in my neighborhood - [Camacho's plumbing](http://www.camachosplumbing.com/) - small business owner who has a handful of employees. he's a great guy who I've known for some years.. may not be too cheap though.
