I'm pretty good with Goldies, Galvies, Sheet Metal Nails, Roofies, etc. 3" deck nails is my specialty but you should really use screws. I have a lot of experience with various nail guns as well. My favorite is my pneumatic finish gun. I can work magic with that puppy. LOL.
