I'm looking for a recommendation for the best physical therapist ( outpatient) around the Scituate area for care after a total hip replacement.
Kevin G. replied:
Brenda, as part owner of Magill & Gardner Physical Therapy, I invite you to stop by and visit our clinic and talk with the therapists. We have been at our 28 New Driftway location for over 25 years, and scores of total hip replacement patients have come through our program with excellent results! You can call 781-545-8114 for more info. See you soon!

Laura M. replied:
Don't go for assembly line PT for your back. Don't be happy with PT assistants who are basically kids. Check out Mike Puniello in Hingham. My first back surgery was over 20 years ago and I've seen a lot of PTs. Unfortunately, most PTs are at best a waste of time. At worst, they'll give you exercises that actually cause the tiny muscles in your back to stop working.

Feel free to "interview" PTs based on their clinical experience and your diagnosis. I love Bay State PT for adults, Kerri & Jeanne are awesome. Peak treated my 12 year old and they where fine. She also saw Pedi PT at S. Shore Hosp. and we where happy. Feel better.

I went to Peak and was very unhappy with them - too unprofessional however I've also been to Bay State and loved them. I would highly recommend Cathy at Bay State.
