The first thing to do when buying a home is get with a good mortgage lender (if you want to call me at 256-975-1111) I can recommend some for you. Figure out first of what you can qualify for and what type of financing programs they have out there for you in your situation. Once you find out what you qualify for that is the time of get a Realtor (hopefully me :)) and let them help you find a home that fits what you are looking for and what fits within your financial guidelines. If you do not qualify at this time, the mortgage lender can advise you what must be done to get your credit up to standards. Let me know if I can assist you.
