you may have an idle control valve issue, it needs cleaning, i would advise all guys with eps to join civic life.net forum its free and loads of info on there, mine does a similiar issue however i have a decat a/m air filter etc. on yours you need to c lean the idle control valve out with brake cleaner/carb cleaner etc. its located on the bottom of the throttle body held with two 5 star sockets, when you remove the screws the housing is magnetic pull it off and you will see a small motor which should be rotating very freely, i bet you it wont. clean it out and clean the coolant ports blow them out with compressed air. give that a try first buddy. hope it goes well.
