Hey guys - my traveler is flying home for the holidays and can't bring her little furbabies (cats) home with her. Has anyone run into this - are there any special...
Thanks Linda - I use Rover.com for my dog if you ever want to try something new. That's not for cats either though - I was looking for something similar for cats too!

Kayla Burch use Rover.com - I use that for Lady - you actually take them to someones home rather than boarding so they can run around and play still.
I travel with my cat, can't imagine going anywhere far away from home without him. Recently I signed a contract, and was told after doing so, that I was limited to just...

Here's a site that might be useful. www.bringfido.com. If it is agency provided housing and they say it's your only choice maybe you could purchase a toaster oven. That might help some.
We have inherited a very fluffy cat. Does anyone have any recs for a *cat* groomer in the area? I found a lot of dog people, but not so much cat. (Prefer not to go to...

I took a stray cat that I had until he died (oh, Mr. Mew...you were old but we had a great 6 months) and I took him to Muttley Crew for his first bath. I don't see it on their list, but I'd recommend calling.... http://muttleycrewcuts.com/home/

Cat Clinic of Seattle does it, but I think they are on the pricier side.
Does anyone have a preferred dog groomer in Seattle? Prefereably one that knows and understands the wiggly, stubborn, terrier mindset.

Barb at Downtown Dog Lounge, who works exclusively at their Elliott location, or Jordi, who is exclusively at the Capitol Hill one. I worked there for nearly two years; while I will stay mum on their daycare services and general reviews online, I can personally vouch for those two as excellent groomers. The price for a terrier will be about $50 to $60, depending on coat length and condition (if it's matted, mostly), and if you don't like anything about the haircut, they'll touch it up for free. That price includes a bath, blow dry, nail trim, ear cleaning, and full haircut. If you do end up going this route, call to make an appointment. The day of, they'll hang onto him and grab a phone number from you, plus if he's there for more than the quoted 3 hours, they'll give him a walk for free if you're okay with that. /overshare

We used to love Alki Beach Dog, but the proprietor passed:( We've been using The Wash Dog since and they have been good with our squirmy terriers.

http://www.petgroomingnw.com/aussiepetmobile-nw These folks are great! I don't have a dog but the family I work for does and he's a real snippy, wiggly fucker. They always groom him with no problems and they come to their house to do it and there's a big window on the van so you can see it all happening.
