I've personally had good history with NameCheap. There's some good options in the sidebar here. Stay away from [EIG hosts](https://www.webhostingsecretrevealed.net/blog/site-updates-news/the-who-what-when-of-endurance-international-group-eig/). If you don't want to worry about hardware uptime but don't have a problem setting up the software side of things there's a ton of inexpensive VPS options these days. DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, Amazon Lightsail, etc.

Since you're a student, check out [GitHub Student Developer Pack](https://education.github.com/pack). You get extra AWS cloud credits, DigitalOcean credits & 2 years free Heroku Hobby Dyno - all of which can be used to run web servers. [Google Cloud](https://cloud.google.com/free/) also gives $300 credit for a year and free tiers for many of their products after the credit runs out. If you just need to host static web pages then [Netlify](https://www.netlify.com/) is a great choice with a free tier.
