Depending on where you live, I'd find a great shoe repair shop and take them in. I am always amazed how inexpensive it is and what a great repair they can do!! If you want a hard core permanent fix this stuff works great, its like a 2 part epoxy. Ive used it on the toes of my leather hiking boots because they were getting eaten alive by rocks. I watched a ton of videos on it before buying it. Its pretty easy to apply and looks pretty good. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B6RRCVQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Are there any companies that make outerwear with goretex or something similar for really tall people? I'm 6'6" and am having a tough time finding pants and jacket that...
JSteigs replied:
I am a very thin guy and was looking around at different companies sizes, and somehow stumbled across, a company called [Beyond](http://beyondclothing.com/). They make custom tailored outerwear. It is obviously more expensive than normal outerwear, but it would be an option. Also I will add that I have not ordered anything from them, so I can't really give a real recommendation about the product.

What is your price range? Arc'teryx makes great gear that's guaranteed waterproofing and breathability. Also, fully taped seams. Life time warranty. http://www.backcountry.com/arcteryx-stingray-pant-mens I love these pants and they have a XXL option.
AtticusRuin replied:
Tall and thin? Burton and 686 make tall sizes pants. As far as shirts, just grab a long one. I haven't found any that are specifically "tall."
evoxtrain replied:
Hi, I'm 6'1" and I wear a Sessions jacket. It is an XL, and it is still pretty long (maybe 4 inches longer than normal jackets). In addition, Sessions makes XXL jackets as well. The XXL should definitely be long enough for you, but it might be baggy. As for pants, I'm not sure. Best of luck. Oh yeah, Session's outerwear is very durable and has good waterproofing. I got my jacket on black Friday for like $60-$70 I think.

Companies like Nomis and Technine make Tall (LT-XXLT) jackets and pants that should work well.

I'm 6'5 and bought the Burton 3L Goretex pants. They are amazing. I use a belt to cinch up because I'm not too thick of a guy. Best purchase I've made in the clothes department.

Volcom makes nice goretex jackets. I just bought last years volcom half stone goretex jacket and I'm 5'10" and I got a medium and it's real big and goes a little fast my mid thigh and I love it.
