Green Turtle doesn't do hair anymore. Look up JP Hair on fb, he speaks English. He's in Hbc.

Or Jays Hairstyling in itaewon, but he's expensive.

Here is the English speaking hair dresser "Jay's Hairstyling" address: 2 nd Floor 126-17 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Here are two links about the establishment. Linda's Hair and Nail in Itaewon is where I've been going for over a year now. It's a mother and daughter and they're great. They know foreign hair well and speak English well, also. Here's the phone number. They take walk-ins, but always good to make an appointment! 02-796-2388 Directions: Out Itaewon Station exit #2, walk straight past the stoplights. Continue past Between and La Bocca and past the stoplights for the crosswalk. Linda Hair & Nail Art is in the building just past Praha on the 2 nd floor (same building as Hana Bank)

Mina at Juno Hair in Myeongdong is excellent. Gave me the best haircut I've had in Korea by far and my hair is wavy/fine, so it took some skill. 30,000 won for a wash, massage, cut and style. You can find her contact info here. There are about 4 Juno Hair salons in Myeongdong all very close to each other. Make sure you go to the right one! The front desk doesn't usually speak English but if you ask for Mina, they'll sort you out. http://travel.cnn.com/seoul/life/staff-picks-best-hair-salons-seoul-277826

I went to Hongdae and got my haircut by an English speaker at Hair & Joy. The cut was expensive (25 k), but they did a good job and my stylist, Jason, spoke English very well. Check it out! http://hairandjoy.com/?page_id=8
Can anyone recommend a hair stylist in Itaewon who is familiar with cutting western hair and speaks some English? Cost is not a factor. Thanks!

There's a new place in the HBC called JP Hair(02 790 7176). It's at the very end of the main strip, where the road turns left and uphill (past woori mart). I think there's a 7/11 on the 1 st floor. Anyway I had a cut and perm done there for 120,000 which is half of what I paid in places like Apgujong, and I am just as happy with how my hair turned out. He gets a lot of non-Korean customers as well.

Hello! There is Jay's hairdressing at Itaewon 126-17 2 nd floor, or hair avenue at itaewon 131-3 3 rd floor and many others! Most of the hair stylists in Itaewon speak enough english to do your hair! Or sometimes, it would help to take a picture of a specific hair style you wish to do If you need help with the translation please try our free trial at www.do4 youkorea.com Have a great day!
Anyone in Seoul knows a salon/hair stylist that specializes in pixie cut? I think I am ready! :)

Ah, I feel you. Just remember that my pins have a lot for me growing mine out, I'm thinking you want a little shorter? And it is so nice and cool have the short hair. I just get bored with one thing for too long so that's why I am growing mine. If I were going to keep mine short for a while, it would look like this. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/42080577741628047/

April McGaughy is amazing!! She does my 13 y/o daughters hair and hers is what I would call an assymetrical pixie. I think she could totally do this.

Ate Barbara haha, just like my boys, they are against it. It will grow back.

Korea friends, I need a recommendation for a hair salon that knows how to cut Western hair.....maybe someone in Itaewon or Hongdae?

Bonnie! Go to Linda's Hair and Nails in Itaewon. She's REALLY nice and does a great job. They're open until 10 pm every day except Sundays. To get there, go out exit 2 and walk straight until you see Hana Bank on your left (it will seem a little far, but it's just past the IP Boutique Hotel). They are on the 2 nd floor of the building Hana Bank is in. You can't miss their big yellow sign on the windows.
