Maroochydore High School have an amazing music program. I know the teachers. They've won multiple awards personally & for the school. Together they offer amazing experience.

Noosa District State High School is really good for VET pathways, they have agriculture, hospitality, marine studies, childcare courses, IT certificates, live production. THey also have a really good music program. I went to the school and had lots of friends do the VET courses, they were really really good and enabled them to go further in what they wanted. If you can get into Blackall Range Independent, they are brilliant for children who are either struggling with the normal education systems way of teaching, or those who are gifted. Children learn in a really different environment to regular schooling and basically tailor how they learn individually with supervision from a teacher.

Don't outrule Uni due to being 'non academic'.There are alternative pathways to Uni too. There are also many courses that are more practical-One of my sons studied music at Uni (he didn't choose all OP subjects at High School) and the other is doing a design course. Sunshine Beach has a great music and arts program. Most high schools around here seem to offer Tafe courses. Nambour has been great for behaviour management and also offers a great variety of subjects.

My son did a traineeship in IT through school and then did pathways so did not get an op but got a ranking but still went to Uni this year. This was at Unity College in Bellvista.
