My daughter needs to have her wisdom teeth removed by a oral surgeon. Does anyone have any recommendations on who to use or who NOT to use?

Dr. Pippin in Sevierville.
Dawn P. replied:
Dr Napier. He did both my husband`s teeth and daughter`s teeth. Neither had any swelling and only minimal pain. They both were back to normal the next day.
Jami O. replied:
Dr McConnell has offices in Maryville seymour and knoxville. He's wonderful

Dr. McConnell! Although I don't know the others - like Gina said above, the group has a great rep and I would probably use any of them. Dr. McConnell is a sweetie and he did my husband's wisdom teeth.
Robin M. replied:
Dr Emery...my mom just had some oral surgery done. He was awesome! Called her at home that night to check on her and everything! His office is behind Krispy Kreme in west knoxville.
Elaine S. replied:
Ginger Newman is Dr. Gross back in Maryville? I really liked him. He worked on my husband and me but 2 years ago when I called the practice they told me he wasn't there anymore.
Kerry P. replied:
I like Dr. Hughart in West Knox. He's and endodontist, so depends on the exact procedure that you need. An extraction only or whether they are impacted, etc.
Teri H. replied:
David Campbell did mine several years ago. Not a problem and he is awesome!!!
Becky R. replied:
Kevin Gross in Maryville, just up from Blount Memorial. He extracted my Son's. Smooth recovery and went well, two teeth were impacted. Our family has went to him a few times.
Erin B. replied:
Dr. Emory! He and Dr. Wooten are the best! They are in the same office and I have had them both!-Dr. Wooten for oral surgery about 12 years ago and Dr. Emory for my wisdom teeth 2 years ago. BOTH call the evening after your surgery earlier that day! My brother had Dr. Emory for his wisdom teeth too. Both of us had no issues, and all 4 of mine were impacted! They have a very nice "waiting room" for the family of the patient in surgery... This is separate from the main waiting room... It has a leather couch, tv, and fridge just for the family--all just details, but it's very nice.
Angela R. replied:
Dr. MCConnell.
Pam S. replied:
Dr. Otto Slater is my fave. See above at Southeast Oral Surgery.

Dr. Otto W. Slater has literally just removed my wisdom teeth about 6 hrs ago. He and the team at Southeast Oral Surgery are awesome.
Shannon T. replied:
Yes I would ask about the insurance part, in network vs out of network I love Dr Gross in Maryville or Dr Gotcher in Sevierville

Linda L. replied:
My family has used Dr Wooten 4 times. Each time he has personally called that night to make sure everything was ok.
I'm needing to get my wisdom teeth out here within the next month or so, who's the best oral surgeon around here?
Doris S. replied:
Dr Slater he did Randalls
Dave M. replied:
Randall Napier. Look no further.
Mary M. replied:
I am basically terrified of dentist....of any kind, regular, surgeons, whatever. I went to Dr. Gotcher at the UT Hospital sort of area. For one thing, I had all my uppers pulled (getting dentures) as they needed to go, he/they were amazing. Too bad I didn't find someone simular years ago, might have dealt better with dentists. I definetly recommend.
Jaysea H. replied:
Timothy P. McConnell. He did mine just recently. http://www.southeastoralsurgery.com In Seymour.
Robin S. replied:
I used southeast oral surgery too. They are good. I used Dr Napier.
Looking for recommendations for an oral surgeon in the Knoxville or Seymour area, I am planning to get my wisdom teeth out in the future and would like to hear some...
Robbin W. replied:
Dr. Slater is awesome! Highly recommend.
Amanda B. replied:
Southeast Oral Surgeons is great!! My husband went to have all his bottom teeth extracted and they were very quick and they did a great job! The recovery time was smooth too, no complications.
Has anyone had an implant done at Southeast Oral surgery in seymour? I'm planning on getting one done soon with Dr. Slater. Wanted some feedback on your experience.
Tommy S. replied:
Dr Slater and the staff are great! I wouldn't go anyplace else.
Linda W. replied:
My husband and I both have had Dr Slater do work for us he and the staff are Amazing! My husband had a complicated implant and no problems at all.
Cindy- V. replied:
Dr. Slater removed a tooth, prepped the area with a bone graft and placed my implant. It was a long process, due to bone graft healing and bone growth that needed to take place first, but overall it was a good experience.
Vanna H. replied:
Dr. Slater is great
Debra M. replied:
I had an implant done by Dr Slater last year. I was terrified. But it went unbelievably smooth! They placed me in the procedure chair, placed an oxygen monitor on me as well as heart monitor. They placed a blanket over me and Dr Slater himself started my IV sedation with the 1st stick! And I slept! They called my home the next day to check on me AND sent me flowers! Treated me like a queen! Would go back in a heartbeat. .. minus the fear!
Lainie B. replied:
Dr Slater took my wisdom teeth out and also worked on my teeth when I had to have surgery related to braces. I I loved him. He's great.
