Good afternoon guys! I have a Cat that recently loves to dart outside. He has come back obviously lethargic and Ill. We normally go to Tri county vet , we live on Boyds...
Robilyn P. replied:
Emergency Vet Clinics are high, and some charge you to walk in the door, before they will even look at your pet. If i absolutely HAD to use one,i would probably pick UT Vet School. They are also hardcore on getting paid upfront, but there does seem to be a sense of compassion there, that i haven't experienced at the Emergency Vet on Ailor in Knox.

Don't go to pet emergency on Ailor. Not a good place. Seymour Vet is awesome.
Sherry E. replied:
Seymour Vet make after hours visits. Just call their number and leave a message for on-call vet to call you back. They might work with you on payments also. I would not wait for your cat to get worse. Call now. 577-8056
Jess W. replied:
Maryville Emergency is the cheapest I've found. They are far more affordable than UT, in my experience.
Laura L. replied:
You can also apply for Care Credit. Check with the facility you choose to use, to make sure they accept it. It is a revolving account, usually interest free for 6-12 months as long as you pay it off. You can apply online.

have you tried PetWell Clinic? They are in Alcoa/Maryville at 228 South Calderwood street. They advertise as a lowcost no wait clinic to get vaccines and routine things done, and are open til 5 p.m.on Saturdays. 272-9491. Google also gives an additional number for them, same address, but open 24/7,Monday thru Sunday. 984-5100. worth a shot calling both numbers.

My experience with tricounty wasn't good. I've always used Seymour vet but their rabbit vet wasn't going to be in for a few weeks so I went to tri county,we waited with 2 kids under the age of 5 for over 2 hours and it cost over $80 to look at a rabbit for literally 3 minutes not exaggerating they were closing when they finally saw us so it was for a second. I got my cat neutered, all shots, and flea medicine (they also kept him 3 days to make sure he would be ok) and it only cost me $23 more than the rabbit at Seymour vet.... tri county is a very nice facility with very nice receptionists. But I didn't have a good experience.
Melissa F. replied:
When Seymour Vet wasn't able to check out my daughter's guinea pig they suggested Boyds Creek Animal Hospital. So that's where we went & they took great care of her for us.

Dr. Bentley@Seymour Veterinary Clinic. There # is 577-3659. The staff truly cares about the animals as well. Dr. Bentley holds a special place in my heart. Our Sweet Bella recently passed away and Dr. Bentley did everything in her power to help. The staff and Dr. Bentley still calls me to see how I'm doing, not only that they sent me a condolences card.

It's a bit of a drive but Dr. Monica Webb at Countryside in Louisville is top notch. A few years ago when it was discovered that one of our babies had cancer a local vet told us to research it online, give prednisone and wait for him to die. Our son wo rked with one of the vets that owns Countryside and she saw him early the next morning and done surgery that day. Turned him over to Dr Webb who handles their cancer patients and she was wonderful. She is also their emergency vet for small animals. All the vets there are excellent and it is a state of the art facility for small and large animals. Check it out. It is worth the drive.

Through the years all the Seymour Vets have treated my animals. They have cried with him, comforted me, called and sent cards. They have sent me to UT Vets if it was something they couldn't handle. They do care. They love animals and it shows. 40 yr s ago Dr. LYLE took my baby for a week to try a new drug on her. I could afford. He saved her and made her better. I would have had to put her down otherwise. He's my hero. He cried and patted my shoulder as we put my 15 yr down. They are all the best!

Meghan Dunn Romano at Linsmoor the dogs are in there own kennels & can go in & out as they please, unless of course it's unsafe to be outside. I believe it's roughly the same price as Seymour Vet, not sure though since we have paid for 2 dogs in the same kennel at Linsmoor.

We've done them & Linsmoor Kennel down 411. I like Linsmoor better, when we picked up our dogs from Seymour Vet they all smelled like pee, really bad. At Linsmoor they groom them before you pick up, I'm not 100% sure if it's included in what you pay or if it's extra. They also have indoor/our door runner for the dogs at Linsmoor.
