I'd only recommend it if the student actual has celiac disease that requires gluten free. For anyone else it's BS. You'll probably have to order it online like alibaba.com or taobao.com.

Contact www.wanna-home.com, they can help you to find the right place, they have many places in Shanghai downtown! But I would defenitely reccomend Jing'an, there are a lor of foreigners and few supermarkets! Good luck!

Agree with Jeff...visit any of these supermarkets with import aisles, or those largely comprised of international products (Ole) and the bulk of the customers are locals. City shop in shangers is an exception, but cant really compare the Su' with West Nanjing Rd for density of foreigners.
