Anybody recommend a decent men's hair dresser in Shanghai?
Aria R. replied:
I find haircuts here to be much more expensive than in the UK, but the hairdressers are better quality. There are TON of salons. My husband goes to one on Xianyang and Changle called TAO Hair, and they always do a phenomenal job. But I'm sure there are hundreds of salons that would offer similar quality.

Weng Feng. They're all over Shanghai. Also recommend using smartshanghai.com. They have listings for everything under the sun with taxi screen in mandarin so you can show the address to a taxi driver.

Not sure about luohu, but you can always check out the five star hotels as they have hair salons. Alternatively, check out www.thatsmags.com for listings (or szstuff, szparty, etc).

Felix, I went to a hairdresser in Link City, between Coco Park and Convention & Exhibition Center, called O'gez Hair. It cost me about 198 RMB back in September last year, but I took a photo of it and I use it for Chinese hairdressers now, which are much cheaper and do just as good a job.
Thomas S. replied:
I think there is an Esprit Hair saloon in the MixC as well. The Hong Kong guy there can talk English.....I also heard about a Dutch lady doing the hair cuts in the Venice Hotel at Windows of the world.....sorry, lot of guessing.....I usually go to Chinese hairdressers
Patrick M. replied:
Dutch lady is called Marieke van Schjindel, she is on-call at the Venice hotel via 18566260692. Very good experience.
If any one is looking for a new hair stylist, I can give you the info. Does great work on western hair, he is Chinese and speaks English! Another plus, cheap!!!
Jamie F. replied:
