Beth Alheit ........it is very simple to replace it yourself. You only have to unscrew the two nuts underneath and then put the new one in place and screw the new nuts on. (You may perhaps need to use pliers to get the old ones started.) Challenge yourself.....you will feel sooo accomplished by doing it yourself. If it sounds at bit "icky"..just remember, wash your hands with soap and water after and all the "ick" is gone !!! ***There are 2 types of seats elongated or round, easy to determine, just look at the front of your toilet bowl. Wider is the round, comes to somewhat of a point, it is elongated. ****
