Dr. Bowersox, they are great! They DX & treated my son for about 2 years on & off with eye therapy. They also got him set up with other test & doctors he needed...they did more for him than his school.

Beth G. replied:
We see Dr. Chris Berkhahn with Metro Pediatrics in Louisville. It's about a 25 minute drive but after a less than stellar run at a pediatrician in town, it is worth it for us. He actually sees lots of patients with disabilities and is the head pediatrician for some of the residential pediatric treatment facilities in Louisville. We almost had to take my 8 month old to the ER this weekend and he insisted on facetiming with us to avoid an unnecessary visit.
Monica M. replied:
Tia Alton or Lisa Lyon are both phenomenal!
Rachel W. replied:
We love Norton Medical here in Shelbyville!! Dr. Lyon and Dr. Samson are the pediatricians that we normally see. They are amazing!
Recommendations for adult doctors in shelbyville or Louisville that are more holistic and don’t push medications as the first line of defense all the time.
Amy B. replied:
You have to go to a bit further, but I really love Dr. Kenneth Oder at Norton Family Practice by the Kroger in J-town. It's right off 64 really, so you just drive to the exit past the outlet mall. He's not someone who is going to prescribe you anything experimental, but he's really good about listening to you, hearing you out, and not rushing right to medication if you don't want to go that route. (As long as he believes it's safe.) His office is really the only place I trust to accurately take my blood pressure, too. He's told me before that he uses a neti pot, so I know he's open to alternatives.

Dr. Siegel, Shelby Pediatrics, he is a great doctor. I love that they have a well waiting room, and a sick waiting room, so that when you take your child for just a checkup, there is less chance of getting germs. I also like all the different themed examining rooms, that Dr. Siegel decorated himself. It just shows how much he really cares about kids.

Another vote for the amazing Dr. Laura White@Future Hope Pediatrics! She is amazing the staff is super friendly and when you have a sick kid when they are not open SHE will answer her phone and talk to you! Nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. White!
Maegan P. replied:
Also another vote for Dr. White! But it also depends on what type of parent you are... I am no helicopter parent who takes my child for just a fever or cold. She is a doctor that listens to your concerns but also believes that not every time you come in for something minute, it requires medicine! I absolutely love that about her!! So if you want a doctor to just give you meds and be on your way... She isn't the doctor for you! But if you're a little more homeopathic, I'd definitely recommend her! ☺️

Kehrer isnt accepting new patients. I go to Kenneth Oder at Norton Community. He's worth the extra drive. Honestly I went to Baptist Family Medicine and I can't recommend. Everyone was nice but the person I saw didn't seem that informed. She told me one drug was safe and a simple Google came up with all these issues... Then I asked about the risks of another drug and she didnt mention the fact that its lethal in rate cases. To me, this is education a patient needs because if they are one of the rare cases that info could save their life.
I've seen this post before on here and I've tried the search button but can't seem to find it. I'm looking for a pediatric eye doctor. My children already see a doctor...
