Are you looking for a OB or GYN care, or both, with the provider you see? If OB, what are your wishes for birth? The answers to those questions greatly determine which provider would be a good fit for you.

Casey S. replied:
Dr Heath brown!! He is amazing
Taryn L. replied:
First of all, congrats, or good luck, either way:) second, Dr. Kraut has delivered Emily and Dylan both via csection. She can be a bit pushy, but if you stand your ground (which obviously you will ;) ) she's great! Dr basham and ford are also very sweet, and I've been comfortable with them both. I personally do not care for Dr brown, a lot of people do though. Overall, I think the office as a whole is awesome
Cascinda D. replied:

This is going to sound weird I suppose, but I usually go to Baptist OBGYN in Shelbyville, but the doctors I really liked have left or retired. I don't really feel like...
Daphne R. replied:
I always used baptist (Dr Basham is awesome) but in recent years they've become kinda rude and not very welcoming so I went the tri county Obgyn (dr Mann) and I absolutely love them! They are very friendly, clean and organized!
Jordon W. replied:
All Women OBGYB in Louisville is seriously the best team of docs I've ever met. I used to go to Baptist here in town but they did a lot of things I didn't like so I made the switch halfway through my pregnancy and I'm so glad I did.
Connie C. replied:
If you want to drive to Frankfort, I recommend Dr Karen Scott
Janette F. replied:
Have you ever seen Dr. Ford at Baptist OBGYN? Her bedside manner is wonderful. She's always been my favorite at that office seconded by Dr. Basham.... and no I'm not related to her (in case anyone thinks that because of the last name lol).

Tiffany Justice is the best obgyn ever!!! She was my Dr with my 2 nd child. She used to be at advocates for woman, which is also good, but your just another patient there. She really cares, is honest and really gets to know you! Best Pediatrician is Dr. Chris Berkhahn!!! Can't say enough great things about him, my family loves him!!! Both are in Louisville, but worth the drive for the care you get!

Dr. Jennifer ford is great and delivered my daughter and dr. Samson he is great
Beth G. replied:
We have used the midwife groups at Clark and UofL for our two births! I cannot say enough great things about them if you desire low-intervention, evidence-based care. We love Dr. Chris Berkhahn at Metro Pediatrics for our pediatrician. We spent 3 years using a pediatrician in town and it has been a breathe of fresh air to switch to him. He is compassionate and extremely competent.
Anyone know a good OBGYN in shelbyville for routine checkups? I am tired of driving into louisville. Or a really good general practitioner who can also do well woman...
Misty G. replied:
Tri County in LaGrange
Amy B. replied:
Maria C Conzelman it's fine... I am interested in all that too. I currently see Dr. Oder at Norton Community in Tyler Center in Jtown, and I love him, but it's a bit far to go.
Judy B. replied:
Dr. Kotheimer at Baptist OB/GYN is amazing. And very good at listening to her patients and how they want to handle their care. I've went to her for years and I've never heard a bad word said about her. And from what I understand, the entire practice is wonderful to work with!
Someone posted awhile back about a new obgyn office coming town. (I can't find the post) Any info on that? Dr . Brown's office is driving me crazy!
Kelley L. replied:
Is Dr. Brown at Baptist OB/GYN, near the urgent care? I used Dr. Basham there, but since she is gone, I will need to choose another doctor. Is it Dr. Brown or the practice that you have an issue with?
