I would suggest contacting a Centaline agency in the area you are interested. They have an office in OTC. They must have one or two people who speak some English. Two months deposit is standard; you probably will get it back after a bit of fuss. Document everything with photographs just so they know you are paying attention. Most apartments come with some furnishings which you may or may not like. The landlord may be willing to remove them if you don't like them, but may not. It is possible to get cheaper apartments than what you describe, but they may not be up to your standards. It is unlikely that you can install a dryer; Chinese do not like dryers and even upper-class people hang up their clothing for the benefits of open air "qi." It is quite easy to use a public hospital but the doctors can be extremely incompetent or extremely competent; they probably will not speak good English but you may be able to find someone to translate, although the translator may actually be rather weak and you will be well advised to have a 4G smart phone with a translator app to facilitate any problems. Maintenance fees vary from apartment to apartment and may be bundled into the rent or not, it's an individual thing. A "fapiao" is an official receipt that allows you to use it for reimbursements from your company or for tax purposes. Only a "fapiao" is acceptable in many circumstances that involve official records of payments.

hospitals are not that complicated, as long as you know which one to go to. Beida is the largest and you can easily find your way around because you can always find someone who speeks english, and all the signs are in english and chinese. they also have vip center (6th floor), where you can always find someone to help you. keep in mind that in china you go straight to the specialist doctor (obgyn, urlogist...). HK University hospital is the newest and once it's finished it should be the best in the city. they have english speaking service for making appointments, and all the doctors speak english, but HK Uni hospital is more expensive than Beida, and it's not uncommon that they send you to Beida for some test they do not offer. HK Uni hopsital has that international medical center which is crazy expensive, like 10 time more than the regular hospital, and i still have no idea why (it looks expensive and all, but service is no different than at the regular part of the hospitals). they will even charge you their price and then send you to the regular part to finish the tests or whatever. but i'm guessing you will all have health insurance, which makes it easier because you can just get insurance to finish all the work for you...

Hi Adrien - it's best to look on the ground when you arrive. Many of the pictures won't do the apartments any justice and some of them you just have to imagine the potential. You can get in touch with any of the agents posting on Shenzhenparty.com or rentsz.com in your preferred neighborhood and they'll have a list of stuff available when you arrive. Download wechat. It's what everyone uses to communicate here.

200sqm? That's big. The office building I used to work at Nanshan is very convenient, close to metro TaoYuan station, and bus stops nearby. It is called Yang Guang Hua Yi ( 阳光华艺大厦), not sure if they have that big office available . But I can ask.:) What does your company do?
