Kelli I had PRK through Dr Mazaheri in Plano, great dr loved his staff. He took his time with me, it's pretty pricey and it burned for a day or two after but after almost being legally blind to now being able to see street signs before I pass them lol that's never happened before. I'm pretty dang satisfied

Dr. Whitman of Key- Whitman in Dallas. He did Robyn Shiplet's LASIK and 4 or 5 people I have worked with. I had double cateracts and did the Cristolens in both eyes. Robyn and I are VERY happy. We still go to Dallas office even though they offered to refer after care to DRs in Texoma. Very important to me that I see many of the same employees visit after visit. Speaks volumes about the people/company they work for.

Kelli PRK is similar- in LASIK they create a flap in your cornea to lift and do the laser work. In PRK, they actually remove the cornea and do that laser work. So you have to regroup your corneas, basically, and it takes longer to get clear vision. I too have dry eye issues when I first wake in the morning and my doctor told me I probably always will, but I just keep eye drops handy and use them before I get going.

My brother had glasses for years and said LASIK was the best thing he's ever done. He used Dr. Burlingame (RGB Eye Associates).

I had mine done many years ago by Dr. Boothe in Dallas. Best thing ever!! I had zero cons, there was no pain and I could see when I walked out of his office. Life changing for me.

I've never had it done but wanted to. The reason my eye Dr. Told me it only temporary in most cases so please be careful it's a lot of money for something that isn't a permanent fix!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! Best decision I've made! I used Dr. Burlingame. He was wonderful! He talked to me the whole time and told me exactly what to expect at every step. It doesn't hurt at all either; I just feels like pressure on your eye, like if you were to close your eye and push on it a little. You can see as soon as the surgery is finished, blurry, but you can certainly see!! The first few months my eyes were really dry but as long as you keep putting drops in them, it's not too bad. For the first while, when you wake up it feels like you slept in contacts, but again if you just out drops in it fixes that right up. December will be a year since I had my eyes done and I love it more and more everyday!! When I started I couldn't see the big E but the last time check up I had I was 20/15....sorry that's a lot of info but I'm still just so excited about it haha. If you have any questions or anything just let me know!! I def recommend LASIK as well as Dr. Burlingame at RGB eye associates!
