Have y'all seen this? Now we need a vet for any antibiotic for our livestock. I'm so upset.

That Wall Street Journal link is to an old article from 2015 - if you want to learn more about the Veterinary Feed Directive (which I highly encourage you to do) read this post that breaks it down into five easy-to-read facts. Share it with your social networks too so consumers don't think we are opposed to taking good care of our animals and having a good relationship with the vet. Because, like it or not, if a consumer sees us whining about these regulations they tend to think the worse, aka "Why is that rancher hiding their antibiotic use from us? They must be overusing or doing it wrong." https://factsaboutbeef.com/2016/05/24/5-fast-facts-about-the-new-fda-antibiotics-guidelines/

Could any one tell me where to find a good vet in Shermans dale area?
Edward C. replied:
Tri County
Kriss J. replied:
If you want your pet treated like you want to be treated, go over the Mtn. Stay in this area if you want you vet to treat your animal like cattle. Multiple vets around here let one of my animals die of cancer and heart disease. For years he suffered. I knew something was wrong and not ONE vet around here would diagnose him correctly until I took him over the mountain and by that point he was almost dead. NEVER go to tri county. Not only did they misdiagnose my dog, but gave me medicine that killed my dog because they couldn't diagnose him correctly. They also let my step fathers dog die of cancer. Stay away from Perry county! Let them work on livestock, not your family member.

Love Boiling Springs Vet, just outside of Carlisle Dr. Purcell

Tri County, Dr. Rosenberry, is amazing. She saved my cat when other vets wanted to put him down. She is amazing!!!
Sara H. replied:
Tri-County has always been great for us. I like to see Dr. Rosenberry or the newer younger vet (sorry! I can't remember her name!), they have both been amazing with our cats and dog. They both take their time and listen to us and answered all of our questions and even asked us a lot of questions in return.

My family likes Tri-County (789-3121)
Angela H. replied:
We have 5 cats and 3 dogs (two have severe allergies and one of them has thyroid issues as well), and take them all to Hillmount Animal Hospital in Carlisle. We tried 4 different area vets and they were hands down the best as far as both diagnosis and cost.
Katie L. replied:
I don't know of any in Shermans Dale really, but I do know that TriCounty is good. We take our pup there and the vets there have always been great with her. Dr. Rosenberry is so sweet.. everytime we're there she calls our pup a princess, and says how gorgeous she is and just loves up on her and even kisses her! Haha.

Animal Hospital of Rye. The people there are great!

Animal Hospital of Rye is EXPENSIVE! We switched to Tri-County Vets, years ago, and love them. They are accommodating, professional and inexpensive!
