My strategy is to go hotwire.com. Enter in your specifics and it shows you prices and stars (doesn't give you hotel names). Then go to betterbidding.com. Nerds record all of the details for the different hotels that hotwire and priceline sell and you can simply cross reference their hotel and ammenities list to figure out what hotel they are offering you at the price. It's always been the cheapest way for us.
