Our AirBnB host recommended this place, next to Kobe station http://www.steakland.jp/index.html The teppanyaki style Kobe steak (200 g) is about Y5400 per pax. It is the best beef we ever had.....

consider having lunch at Shosantei in Kagurazaka(a few minutes walk west of Iidabashi station). they have some very affordable and very delicious donburi(rice bowls) with high quality wagyu. like the 1800 yen sirloin-ju set, which comes with salad, red miso soup, and coffee. you may need to have the hotel help you make reservations. they can be super busy. http://www.shozantei.com/menu-lunch.html#01
