Pediatricians in Show Low, AZ

Dr. Smithson is one of my faves by far, and I've never met him! He was on call over a three day weekend and he helped me with my new born(that we almost had to take to the emergency room). I truly can't say enough good about that man! The amount he helped us is outrageous.

Do not go see Bennett. I was told by phx children's docs to never see her again after an incident with our then 2 mo old. I like Dr. Bierer at Lakeside Family Health Center.

Dr. Thompson takes newborns. She was the Pediatrician that showed up at the hospital when I gave birth to Roland, to see how we were doing. Dave and I really like her.

We go to Dr Thompson and love her. As said above she pretty much always accepts babies but may not accept adults. If we weren't already established with Thompson by the time Rachel Armstrong finished her PNP degree we probably would've gone to her. She is going to be with Paxman (also great) so he will do circumcision & things she can't. I've had one interaction with Smithson at the hospital and was impressed, plus other RNs speak highly of him. Do not go to Bennett (plus, I highly doubt she'll be back & taking patients any time soon).

Sorry.... but does anyone know what is going on with Dr. Bennett? The first time we asked they said she was on vacation. Second time we asked they said medical leave. And now we are hearing administrative leave?

I worked with Dr. Thompson for 3 years. She is such a loving, nurturing, motherly person! If you have him circumcised she is so gentle and caring. She has actually had lil' guys fall asleep during the procedure

Smithson or Paxman are great. They are family practice, not pediatritions but have nursery privileges at the hospital. Plus Rachel Armstrong is now with them. All around a great practice. The only other pediatrician option is Bennett but last I heard, she is on "leave" with no return date, as of yet.

Dr Bennett is wonderfull. The kids always come first, I can call her on the weekend and she anwsers her cell phone and helps. She is never to busy. She takes great care of the kids and speaks her mind she is awsome

Rachel Schmit Armstrong is who I go to. She knows just as much as a Ped just doesn't have the title. She is amazing with kids and the parents to. Very thorough and actually listens and takes your concerns as a parent seriously. I could go on all day. At the end of the day it ultimately is your choice. I hope your baby is doing well. Jessi, let me know if you find one u like. We went to armstrong and had a bad experience, in many ways. We now go to family friend who does family practice, Dr. Moffatt. i would rather have a pediatritician, but he is great with kids. I have been happier there than with armstrong.

I am a medical student and have worked with Dr Paxman, Dr Bennet, NP Armstrong, and Dr Bierer. They are all great providers, make very good medical decisions and I would trust all of them with my kids. I have not met Dr Duarte the new summit employed physician who is starting next month or so but he is from a small midwest town and i have heard only good things from the physician recruiter about him I take my kids to Dr Bierer because she is a family doc and we all go there. however she is BUSY!! Many people dont like Bennett becuase she is a tried and ture Jersey girl and doesnt soften the blow on much of anything BUT she is an excellent doc and is a lactation consultant. Dr Paxman is not young...hes good but set in his ways as older docs tend to get Rachel Armstrong is great, has an excellent bedside manner with kiddos and moms alike, but is BUSY.

I take my boys to Dr. Bierer. She's great. We moved here from the valley several years ago and had a hard hard time finding a pediatrician. Honestly, I was taking my boys to our pediatrician in the valley because I couldn't find one I trusted. But, have come to love Dr. Bierer.

Dr. Thompson is a great doc. she is in the same practice as my doc who I've had since I was 5 and I have seen her plenty of times. she really is great. that's who zerah is going to see when she comes out!:D

I take my son to Dr. Thompson. I've gone to her for years.. She is the best for J and your whole family. I haven't heard anything good about Dr. Bennett.. But I''ve never gone to her so I don't know.

I've been seeing Dr. Thompson she's behind Mateos and does give ppl crap for not immunizing.. been great so far lol

We Love Dr Smithson in Pinetop.

I vote Rachel as well. She's seen both my babies from newborns but all my kids see her including the 15 and 17 year old. She's easy to talk to. Open to different options and is great with kids. If you do pick Rachel her staff Chelsey Robertson is also great and super with kids. My son loves both of them and I can't say that about many people.
