UVH university vet hospital. It's by LSUS. I live in bossier and it's worth the 20 min drive. I've been to many vets and I will never change. They saved my pets life and have a lot of compassion and very professional. DR. Catherine Foret is who I suggest. Amazing woman

My hubby goes to Dr. DeWitt and really likes him.
Kellie S. replied:
We used Dr DeWitt...He takes BCBS, and all I ever had to say was "headaches" or "sinuses" and they would tell me to come right away if they didn't have any openings that day.
Mary S. replied:
Patrick Morris is good. He just took my mother as a new patient. Shel likes him. He is on the corner of Barnett Shoals and Research Drive.
Erin M. replied:
We saw Dr DeWitt as well when we were in Athens, we liked him a lot too -- really nice office staff and quick appts when you needed them.
Does anyone know of a vet in the Shreveport/Bossier area that's administering Zeuterin to dogs? Just curious if it's gotten to our area yet. The data that I've seen on...
Any vet recommendations? We're relatively new to the area and have a sick kitty. Anybody have any good recommendations for vets in the area? Thanks!

Come by my place, the Rape Clinic on Youree; don't mind the screaming.
chunkwagen replied:
The cat doctor, on Youree just north of Kings has taken really good care of my cats.
steveboutin replied:
dr. tubeville on e. 70th is super cheap and awesome. he mostly does horses, but dogs and cats too. he's oldschool though, no lab equipment or whatever - no overhead. he's where i take dogs and cats for shots and worms and routine stuff, not really when they get sick.
then there's robinson rescue on line ave., they're good for spaying and neutering, but nothing else.
the emergency animal clinic on line ave. ABSOLUTELY will rape you. i don't think they're allowed to charge less that $500 for any visit under any circumstances.
also, i took a female cat into the cat dr. on youree once for a routine spaying, and she died on the operating table. i was still charged for the surgery and they attempted to charge me for disposing of the cat's body. so yeah, fuck that place.
otherwise, since i used to live in keithville i brought most of my animals most of the time to the one and only vet office in stonewall, la. but i couldn't tell you the name. they're pretty friendly and professional there, and keep the rape to a minimum.
midnightauto replied:
Tillers in Waskom, Tx. They wont rape you like these other people do in Shreveport, it's worth the drive.
cholli8 replied:
Thanks, everyone for the suggestions. We went with the Cat Doctor and were reasonably pleased with the results. A little pricier than I was expecting, I guess, but not totally ridiculous either. It's a nice facility, and the staff was nice and helpful. Might check out some of the other suggested places in the future though. Thanks again!
Ok so I need some help. Our OTTB is having some issues. A vet told us to try a equine chiropractor. Does anyone know of one local or used one? Hoping to make him more...

CA K. replied:
I saw Dr Coker at the Cat Doctor for awhile also. She has a strong personality and didn't have any techs at the time so I was the one holding my cats down when it was shot or procedure time. That's why I switched
Ashley S. replied:
Dr. Hunter at Towne South. She's Chloe's vet & I work with her husband.
Caitlin B. replied:

If you're willing to drive to bossier- Dr Lindsey LeBlanc at Airline Animal Surgical Hospital. On Viking Drive. She's brilliant and excellent with animals.
Josh G. replied:
McMahen vet in springhill is at least 50% cheaper than every vet in Shreveport. It's a long drive but u will save hundreds of dollars. Seriously. Great vets and the most affordable. My parents have been using them for 15 years.
Laurel B. replied:
Marc Icke takes his dogs to Waskom. Price is cheaper. Give him a shout.
Josh G. replied:
I went to Waskom for Dr. Tiller and he is cheaper than Shreveport, but still not cheaper than Springhill
I need a good equine veterinarian any recommendations?????
Mary T. replied:
I use Dr Robert Hewlett, as my horse is at his & his wife's Holly Hill Farm. He has taken in a new awesome young partner, Dr Emily Collins. I would recommend either - Benton Animal Hospital. I was Emily's first riding instructor - when she was 7-8, riding Open Gates Linda, a marvelous Welsh pony mare that could compete with the best, and at the same time was my lesson pony for able-bodied as well as disabled riders.
Kathy R. replied:
We use Benton Animal Hospital, Bobby Hewlett or Emily. Have been very pleased for many years.
Tammy M. replied:
The guys at Red River Equine are top notch and have been very nice to deal with.
Kelsey B. replied:
Dr Hewlett or Haughton
Alyssa N. replied:
Doc Hewlitt, hands down!
Aimee H. replied:
Try Haughton Animal Hospital. They have one vet strictly dedicated to staying out in the field and making House calls for horses. Been doing it for over 20 years. Cannot remember his name but that's the clinic he works through. Super nice guy.
Heather L. replied:
Red River Equine !! The Lewis brothers and their colleagues are wonderful !!!
