can anyone recommend good accounting software for small businesses? I have come across quickfile.co.uk but im dubious as its online and free!! can they access my info?...

I would recommend FreeAgent - it's easy to use and the support is great. It is cloud-based, but very secure and you can download your data if you need to move systems (which you hopefully shouldn't!) I use www.clearbooks.co.uk for lots of businesses from really small up to larger LTD companies. It's excellent and the invoices it generates are really nice .
