My all time ambition is to do some DJ work on cruise ships. Does any DJs have any connections or contacts for this?. Maybe point me in the right direction. Thanks
Mike M. replied:
Fred Olson are good for a few reasons. The ships are small enough to get to places that the bigger ones can't like the amazon. They do 4 months on a 1 month off and they pay you for your month off too (in sterling)
Jon C. replied:
Princess Cruises are worth looking into as well. You get paid in USD but once converted back to GBP its still better than P&O pay. plus Princess now has 18 ships compared to p&o's 7 so there is a larger range of places to go. as charlie said, apply direct and cut out the agents

I did a year with Fred Olson cruise lines. I just called them directly and luckily they were looking for a dj. Knock on lots of doors, an amazing experience. Good luck
