Just moved to Smyrna. Looking for a great vet who is reasonable. Also recommendations on boarding and\or in home pet care. TIA!

Southern veterinary Center. I've worked at 4 vet clinics and chose SVC as my most recent one (been there almost two years now), because I am VERY SELECTIVE about the types and caliber of clinics I will work for. They/we are kind, knowledgable, considerate, efficient, with excellent doctors and staff. All of our technicians are licensed and monitor patients during routine visits as well as during complex diagnostics and surgical monitoring too. At least one of the receptionists has 5 yrs experience as a vet tech and 2 of us have extensive training and experience with working in emergency animal medicine as receptionists at other emergency clinics so we understand how to triage patients and put patients in the order of importance when needed. Please call for any questions or pricing. I firmly believe you wouldn't be disappointed. Also, our DVMs are very courteous and prompt in responding to questions and returning calls. We also have a VERY low turnover rate which speaks volumes about the quality of how our clinic is ran on a daily basis.

Used to go to Southern Vet, but they got really expensive. Changed to Premier on the Old Nashville Hwy and love them.
Judy B. replied:
I go to Dr. Value Vet in MURFREESBORO. Not as expensive as others.

Southern Vet is absolutely the best. I have had them save two of my dogs and they worked with my budget to get the best care possible. Dr. Irvin and Dr. Jensen are the best doctors.

Premier Vet.

I have used both places and it it Premier Vet hands down!! The docs are wonderful all the staff is caring. I use Dr Jackie Jones, but let me assure you there is not a Vet in Priemer that I would not trust...the phone number there is 1(615)- 459-0802. It is located on Old Nashville Hwy. very convient.. also have a class act boarding and grooming in Kreature Kennals just down the road...
My poor cat (she's about 8 months old) has her 3rd eyelid about 1/4 up her eye. Both cats had a litter of kittens within the past week/week and a half. If I need to take...

Pet Conmunity Center. They also spay and it's super cheap!

Julie is correct about not having to live in Davidson Co to use PCC. They offer other cost effective, basic services at the time of spay & neuter like vaccinations, microchipping, etc. Here is a link to their website: http://petcommunitycenter.org/spayneuter/ However, I do not recommend Value Vet due to negative experiences that I and several others that I know have had with them. I recommend Animal House on Largo Dr. for excellent, budget friendly bet care: https://www.facebook.com/AnimalHouseNashville Thank you for wanting to take care of them & spay!

Julie M. replied:
Pet Community Center serves all of Middle Tennessee so it doesn't matter that you live in Rutherford county. However, they only do spaying and neutering. You would need to see a vet if your cat's 3 rd eyelid is showing. Value Vet is cheap and they have several locations in Middle Tennessee.
I need to get my dog's vaccines up to date. Where is an inexpensive place to get this done as we do not have a regular vet?
Freda W. replied:
Animal House!!! They are the best
Gayle C. replied:
Melinda, bring to Animal House, 223 Largo drive. Walk-ins tomorrow 9 to 3 and Monday thru Friday 9 to 6. Dhpp and rabies are $40 for the two. Tell them Gayle sent you and we'll give your animal a free annual exam, normally $30. Hope to see you soon!
Laura M. replied:
Community Pet Center Value Vet Dont forget about getting an rx for heartworm meds like Tri Heart (cheaper than brand and lots cheaper than treating heartworm infection)
Tommy S. replied:
TSC sells all of the vaccines they need for like $15, one shot except rabies so if you know a paramedic, nurse, or farmer that could give the shot. It's actually very easy and the directions are on the box. Next choice would be Value Vet.
Marge W. replied:
Animal House is the best! Very reasonable prices and great staff. They take fabulous care of our dogs and cats.

I use Premier Vet Care in Smyrna. They have very reasonable prices and are great with my dogs. Just recently got mine up to date and I believe it's $110 with fecal and heartworm screening and $78 without (includes required exam). 6154590802/6156251059 13197 Old Nashville Hwy Smyrna, TN 37167 www.premiervetcare.coDr. Beatty is my favorite. I also like Dr. Catron.

I have taken pets to several vets in this area. If you want inexpensive, use Value Vet. Animal House is not all that affordable. They charge $20 for rabies shot. Value Vet and Animal Control are cheaper. And I'm pretty sure Grassmere charged $15 unless they went up on the price.
