I use Dr. Bonnie Turner. She is amazing, but I don't know if the takes ahcccs but she will put you out if you need to have that done.

Talk with the dentist at Snowflake Family Dental. Let them know how you feel and they will work with you. They are excellent!! I had a child (not my own) that absolutely refused to have the dentist work on his teeth for years, but after a few visits with them he felt comfortable to get the work done.

Here's the dentist I use: (928) 536-5773 at 932 S Main St, Snowflake, AZ 85937 (they have two offices) & from my experience with the same insurance they will numb you for cavities! They won't do all 10 in one day though so you don't have to worry about that. They are wonderful. I had my wisdom tooth removed with out being put to sleep and they did amazing. But yes, you'll have to pay out of pocket if you want to be put to sleep. Again though, cavities are normally an easy, painless fix with numbing stuff.
Any recommendations on a good dentist here in Show Low? If you have had a good experience with a specific one, please let me know. Thank you in advance :)

I think this is a fine question. For a dentist we LOVE Craig West, he's in Snowflake side of town, he is on vacation and has his office closed until March 11, but he does have someone coming in to answer messages every other day or something like that. I absolutely hate going to the dentist and he is the first ever that I've loved, and when I had my wisdom teeth pulled it was easy peasy, and he let me make payments of $25 a month until I got it paid off, no interest, no hassle. His teeth cleaner gal is sweet and easy on the kids too. As far as pediatricians go, I have not found anyone I love, but we do generally take our kids as well as ourselves to Snowflake Medical Center and see Ron Byrd, who is a PA there.
Carin S. replied:
I would recommend Dr. Birtch's office. The layout is open and it is very family friendly. My husband and I can get get work done while the kids hang out with us or play in the lobby. They even have a little basketball game set up in the back near the dental work area. I've been to West and Sierra and they're great too, but for my kids, the environment at Birtch's office was the best.
Rebecca H. replied:
I say Dr. Birtcher for a dentist, too. Love how he's handled my two girls AND nieces with their teeth issues. Snowflake Medical has Dr Peterson who I've had since I was 12. He's now MY kids' Dr, still love him AND his nurse. Also love Dr DeWitt from there (he's been our family's Dr, too) and he was amazing with my newborns and dying mother. Don't think they're taking new patients, but if so I'd fully recommend them
Rebecca H. replied:
Like Dr Birtcher dental hygienist a lot, too
Missy B. replied:
Definately Dr Bircher.... Have been taking my kids there for 8 years.....love his staff and there r 2 other dentists who I have had my kids see and they are both great too!! I also second Dallas Peterson at snowflake medical!
Emergency visit to the Dentist. Lary Griffin has a fractured molar and he wanted ME to extract it. He's in great pain and most of theblocal dentists are closed on...
