Any vet can scan for a chip, there is the one on LWW /Bendix that's by you. A found report has to be made in the jurisdiction that they were found which as you know, County means HS on Grape Rd. You can call one in. 255-4726. It really doesn't take long for a dog to look like these two. And if she was in heat he may of been protecting his woman! smile emoticon

Here is where University Parik Vet is which I am told has universal scanner. https://www.google.com/.../data=!4 m2!3 m1!1 s0 x0...

Running SB lost/found pets over the years we have never had an issue with any vets not scanning a dog because of it's breed.
Bee D. replied:
Yes you first need to get them scanned and be sure they are using a universal scanner and they scan the whole body as the chips have been known to move. University Park Vet I am told has a universal scanner if that helps. Also you need to make a found dog report to the animal shelter and best the one where your grandmother lives. What city and county are you located in?
Karen B. replied:
Animal Emergency clinic have a scanner. I have taken dogs in there just for that over a weekend with No charge.. call them first...On grape rd by kmart...good luck..

If Dr. Beebee is still at Gilmer park, I would steer clear! He almost strangled my lab trying to yank her out from under a chair in the exam room. She was just scared and he made her more terrified. I suggest Dr. Huffer if he is still at Lakeville Animal clinic. It's just outside of town on the south side on US 31. He is wonderful!! Very knowledgeable and compassionate and so is his staff.

I know most of the vets in the area. Go to either Morris Animal Hospital or Magrane Pet Medical Center. Top quality medicine!
