Sandy Broadway and I have 4 dogs. We take the little ones to Dr. Julie in P.I. but we enjoy the privacy of Dr. Missy mobile for our Pit Bull Sophia as she gets really excited (playfully) around other dogs. Both vets are awesome.

Dr Julie in PI is great, and so is her staff.

Dr. Crouch in Los Fresnos at the Los Fresnos Animal Clinic. He is the best surgeon, his diagnostic skills are unrivaled and his prices are half of the other people mentioned in this post. Worth the half hour drive, I guarantee it.

I hear good things about Dr Missy, but if appt not set & something is up with pet, often been told SPI not on route & can't come. I have not ever been turned away from Dr Julie. But then I have been with her for years with multiple of pets. Dr Head was my vet before Dr Julie & would be my next choice if urgent. If not urgent, LMHS has great vet techs that can help out.

That is true about Dr Monroe in PI...if you have an actual appt she is good!

I have four dogs and 2 cats and Dr. Missy's mobile service is a life-saver. We get all of the shots and meds at once and as long as it is not an emergency can usually get an appt with her within a few days.

Boca Chica Animal Clinic are the best in the area. You call that day and will get an appointment, I have nothing nice to say about the vet here. If your animal has a problem they can't get you in for a few weeks. This has happened to me too many time's here. Our puppy just got sick a couple weeks ago and got him in right away at Boca Chica. I know it's in Brownsville but it's worth the drive.

Country Vet in Coombs has the best price on x-rays and have an amazing staff. A bit of a drive but a LOT less expensive. There office visit price is cheaper, too.

LMHS rates: Cat spays are $45 and neuters are $40. Dog neuters are also $50 for all dogs under 50 lbs. And $60 for over. Dog spays are based on weight. Under 25 lbs is $50, 25-50 lbs is $60 and 50 lbs and over is $70. No extra price for in heat or pregnancy spays. Call 956-266-3140 to make an appointment.

Dr. Julie Monroe is terrific. Her office is in Port Isabel. I do not know if she does laser but she could tell you who does it.
