I just got an email the other day saying that Christ Community Church in Pinehurst has a Mothers' Morning Out program that will run this summer. I didn't save the email, as I knew we would not be utilizing it. My youngest did attend there last year. I was SUPER impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the genuine care and concern and attention that he was given.

Bethesda Presbyterian also has an amazing Mother's Morning out (I can give you the name of the person who runs it) and the Southern Pines Methodist Church used to...not sure if they still do, and though many people were happy with it, my daughter and nephew were not very happy there. However, your hours would be limited to their hours of operation. Christ Community Church is a good church, but is much farther from you.

Sunshine Learning Center at the Baptist Church dt sp and Little People Loving Learning at the Methodist Church in sp both offer 2 year old and 3 year old classes. I know Methodist is only morning hours and I am not sure about Baptist.

We had a hard time finding all day care when we moved here but found Country Kids in Aberdeen and loved it. She took potty trained 2 year olds up to kindergarten when we were there. It is a 5 star daycare and run by a former elementary school teacher.

Have you heard of Rugg Rats it's in Southern Pines. I can't remember the exact price. But they are less than 10 an hour and when I go pick up my kids they ask me if I can leave. I know that's bad, but they never want me to pick them up because they love it there. The owner is amazing too, real sweet lady and has nice and friendly ladies working there. Sandhills Childrens' Center is amazing, but I really doubt that you would be able to get in right away. You can call and check, and ask to be put on the waiting list though. They are a really unique facility in that they offer services for typically developing, as well as special-needs children.

Southern Pines park and rec does have sports and camps. My son does both and loves it. Sandhills Academy of Gymnastics in Aberdeen does classes and has a preschool and camps that are fun.

We have used Shining Stars - on 211 between Pinehurst and West End. We were very happy there - the owners are very kind, calm, and professional, the teachers are sweet, and they have either a 4 or 5 star rating. Not sure what their waiting list is like. Best of luck!:)
