You can rent your own truck and hire mover help. http://www.movinghelp.com/ That's what I did when i moved from MI to CA and back and saved a lot of money. But that was a long distance move, not sure if it you'll have the same savings with a local move. Or perhaps price isn't important when you want the convenience of a full service move.

I have used http://www.firefightingsfinestmoving.com/ for my last 4 or 5 moves. They are always responsive and courteous. Their guys do moves on their days off to bring in extra cash. I've had a few moves take all day and they just kept at it. They're great!
