Hi all, looking for some comments/reviews please....Im a novice photographer using a Canon 600d and was wondering if any use the Sigma 150-500 lens. What is it like?...
Charles T. replied:
I had the Sigma 150-500 and it was a very good lens. You have a crop sensor camera so the reach will be further. Downside? It's big and heavy and not particularly fast. I swapped to the Canon 100-400 mark 1. It's fair to say that The Canon is faster, has a faster focus and is quite a bit sharper. There used to be a big price difference between these two lenses, but now the mark 1 100-400 is much more affordable (and physically smaller). If you can stretch to it for for the Canon, you will not be disappointed I can assure you. This was my first image with the Canon lens. Sadly Facebook does soften images somewhat but the original is pin sharp right down to the rivets!
Just seen some of my wedding photos from the photographer and they are amazing I had the best photographer ever and would recommend him to anyone Christopher James...
