Ericka R. replied:
If you don't expect perfect quality.. I go to Grocery Outlet. Eat it fast though, it does go bad quicker

I've had bad luck with WinCo refrigerated section, like buying a kale that got gray fluffy mold in two days:/ Fred Meyer has a big selection both organic and non-organic, and they have a $1 section that has bags of three or more items that are bruised or odd shapes and therefore imperfect and reduced price! Three honey crisp apples for a dollar sounds good to me:)

Jessica at La Bella Vida is wonderful to work with and puts together some fantastic menus not to mention killer cupcakes! Check her out on FB. We've used her twice in the last couple of months and my co-workers are still raving about the food at our company picnic. The Watermelon Gazpacho was amazing.

Maybe the Mirabeau Park Hotel? We go to Cork & Keg there every year and they let one of the college programs cater it. The ballrooms would hold plenty of people. The restaurant there (Max) is really good too so if they catered the food would be good.

Araya's Vegan Thai Buffet in the U-District is great. Also Pizza Pi is super yummy. If you don't mind spending some cash, Plum Bistro on Capital Hill is pretty much the best. I have never had a piece of broccoli cause me to weep. It was that good.

The Corbin Arts Center! It's city-owned, and very inexpensive compared to other venues. Let you bring in your own food/wine as well, with a banquet permit.
Spokane friends: can you recommend a local caterer? Looking for dinner or appetizer trays for an after work employee event at Manito Park.
Brady R. replied:
Not sure how I see this (it must've been Matthew's like), but we're friends with 'A Catered Affair'... She does a lot of WSU stuff. So now that I made a suggestion, do I get invite to the party??:) [you really need to change your security settings to keep riff-raff like me out.:)]

I've worked with Taste Cafe and have been pleased with the food and service.
