It depends where you are. Animal Medical clinic on Deltona is really great. Silverthorn vet on Barclay and Powell is really awesome too. Both places have helped me so much. In Weeki Wachee Animal care center is amazing I used to use them when I lived over by them. On Spring Hill Dr there's Advanced pet care who are also amazing! The mobile vets are also really great around here.

I use Petluv for preventative and Dr. Figarola at ASAP for distress issues. ASAP is affordable and the staff are really nice.

San Francis....he is definitely one of the cheapest and was also voted Americas #1 vet. Dr Campos and his staff are great and they solely do it for the animals, they are not in it for the money. My dogs eye fell out, I took him to San Francis for the e mergrncy (my reg vet was on vacay) my dog was put under, had surgery to put his eye back in, had stitches and had to stay the night, for all of that plus a check up I paid $200. They were so great, they even called me every day for about a week to check up on him

Westside Animal Clinic on commercial way been there over 30 years good prices and have a great team of doctors and a caring staff.

PetLuv is not a real "vet-vet", it's a low cost spay/neuter clinic so it's just for shots and spay/neuter. Their shot clinic could have you waiting in line for over an hour. Also, at PetLuv you can't go back there with your dog and I never liked that. We used Nature Coast mobile vet a few times because they come straight to your door, and with 3 dogs that made my life so much easier (they have a camper that is set up like a room of a vet's office so they don't actually come into your house). I love Dr. M, she is excellent. But they are still expensive, I believe it's $60 for the first dog and $35 for any dogs after, and that's just to be seen. So I recently started taking ours to the Animal Medical Clinic on Deltona instead. Their prices are very low, and the shot prices are low like PetLuv but without having to wait in long lines. Service is excellent too.

We've had Bichons since 1991. Started going to Dr. Green at Westside when we moved here in April, 2013. She has told us more about Bichons than anyone else has in all these 23 years! She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring. Oh, and she has been more than wonderful with our cat that had cardiomyopathy and, recently, seizures. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I personally would not recommend Countyline Animal Hospital. Dr. MacMahon didn't seem to really care about my dog so I went elsewhere immediately.

Animal Health Associated in Brooksville by Belks is wonderful. When I lost my Pluto the entire staff was crying just as hard as I was. That's when you know what kind of vet you have not just when they are well but when it's time to say goodbye and they can do no more. Very reasonably priced in my opinion.

Linda, I would try Dr. Hicks at Westside Animal Clinic or Dr. Cooper on 19 north of Weeki Wachee. I cannot make promises on prices but I have taken my dogs and cats to Dr. Hick for years. You can also try PetLuv in Brooksville. They are located on Hwy 41. PetLuv is a not-for-profit. They do mostly spay and neutering that type of thing but give them a call. Paula Farley Murphy: Animal Care of Weeki Wachee? They're quite expensive and the two doctors that used to work together had a split and operate separately now. We switched to San Francis/Dr. Campos and he was voted one of the top vets in the country recently in Chicago!

We became dissatisfied over time with Weeki Wachee with the lesser care(it seemed lesser than before) for our cats and more tests, xrays, and meds that were done for nothing. On the other hand, Dr. Campos at San Francis, doesn't throw meds at you but rather tries to find the problem and deal with it in a practical way, leaving your wallet happier too! To look at the San Francis office you may want to keep on driving as it doesn't look like much but it's the care inside that takes the prize. They don't invest in fancy and expensive, they invest in the care they give your pet. We took one of our cats there that had tongue cancer and they did their best to help but she was too far along. They tried some Chinese meds on her to see if they may help but nothing did and she passed away on the way back to the office. They didn't charge us one penny for the time she was boarded there so they could see if that medicine would work so they could watch her 24/7. That's great care!

We use Dr. Ned at Three Oaks 352-797-7777. Haven't compared his pricing but he always takes the time I need to explain what's happening with my (blind) dog, and his staff is wonderful.

I went to Dr Green at Westside for years but they've gotten very pricy. PetLuv won't actually be your full service vet but are great for neutering and medication costs. I second the vote for Dr Jones and Garrison Animal Hospital.....he's the vet we use now and he's very helpful and up-front about everything, and not trying to get you to pay for a cabin cruiser or RV by charging outrageous prices. We feel lucky to have found him.

I've heard that St. Francis Vet on County Line Rd. is very good, he took in the puppy whose owner was killed on US 19.....heard he is very reasonable.

Also if you want a vet that also has a kennel, try Dr. Cooper. His office in on 19 North of HWY 50. I have heard good things about him too.

Dr Mike Kern owner of Advanced Pet Care takes care if all sorts of animals, does seniors as well as orthopedics. He left Dr Coopers office to open own practice. He is off Spring Hill Dr & is the best Vet & surgeon I've ever dealt with. My anals wudnt go anywhere else!

Dr. MacMahon is my vet on County Line Road. He has another vet helping lately, but Dr. MacMahon is the one that I trust totally and he has always tried to be as reasonable as possible. He also has a boarding kennel, but it is pricey though excellent.

Animal Health Veterinary behind Sears off 50. I use Dr Rodriguez. She is AMAZING. She saved my cats life when I thought I was bringing him in to put him to sleep. In her practice is Dr Stocker (she bought him out when she left Westside). Many go to him with dogs if not her. i cant say enough about them. I personally have in home pet sitters-both work in vet offices if you are interested.
