I have been seeing Dr. Richard Jung as a neurologist at Cox after having a TIA. He is fabulous. I am not positive if he accepts medicaid but am pretty sure. Here is their office number. +14178753087
Anyone recommend a good neurologist in Springfield, MO? ANYONE. Seriously. Preferably the Cox network since that's what my insurance goes through...

Rob Strang at South Cox. He's amazing!

I texted my mom- She said Dr Wong is her favorite and he's with Cox. Think of the comedic potential if he's not very good, though. Sorry about the frustrations.:(
Angie H. replied:
I've heard Dr. Strang is good, but my neurologist is Dr. Oglakhian with St. John's he is wonderful as well dealing with my mom's encephalopathy and dad's strokes. He knows brains and such.
I know this may seem like a strange post for this page but I trust my fellow classmates to give me good recommendations. I need to see a neurosurgeon and don't know any...

Dr. Cunningham did my neck surgery 6 years ago and I've not had any problems since. He is at Springfield Neurological and Spine Institute on National. I had lost the feeling in my hands and upper torso. Immediately after surgery I had complete feeling again.

My son sees Dr James Collins in Springfield. I don't know if he's just a pediatric neurologist or what but you can look him up and call him and start from there
Cendy W. replied:
I believe James Collins is indeed a pediatric neurologist. Usually to get an appointment with a specialist, like a neurologist, you will need to see your primary physician and get that doctor to send a referral to a neurologist. As far as psychologist, you may want to try the Forest Institute in Springfield. They may be able to give you a referral. All I know is that the Forest Institute used to offer sliding scale payments. Your psychologist should be able to provide some information for you. Also, check websites for Cox hospital and Mercy for physician search to help you locate a physician. You can also call them for suggestions. You might also check Vitals .com or healthgrades .com. If you still need assistance, I would recommend going to your nearest emergency room. The physicians there may be of some help.

Mercy has good doctor's and most of them take medicaid. I had a good neurologist it was Dr. Oglocian (spelling is wrong). Mercy psychologist are good too.
Attention Missourianites! Anyone have a great Doctor they'd recommend? I'd prefer a GP right now, but if you know a good neurologist I'll take that too. Spanx :)
