I know someone looking for an OHP physician. I will also be looking for one at some point. Any leads?
Anand H. replied:
Brian Jones. He also works with midwives. That is how Star was able to give birth to Ambrose at home.
Janet S. replied:
Not sure if Dr. David Samply qualifies but he is a formidable psychiatrist with cohones of steel and the brain of a genius.
Bob K. replied:
OHP+ Trillium RE physicians, and many PCP's are no longer accepting OHP/Trillium...a hard one...if they have an established PCP, it is always best to ask them.....

I and my colleagues at McKenzie Primary Care, 541-744-6130, take OHP and Trillium up to our quota levels set by management. As a group we accept all ages; as a geriatrician I limit my practice to > 65 yo and preferably frail.

Dr. Gilchrist at Oak St Medical does primary care and sports medicine: http://www.oakstreetmedical.com/primary-care/andrew-gilchrist.html I only see medical personnel who are runners:)
Stefanie A. replied:
Anna, You might want to check out Dr. Gutierrez who practices at Springfield Family Practice. I've been running with him a bit and he is a serious runner, and also a really nice guy. Here's a little write up about him on his clinics web page. http://www.springfieldfamilyphysicians.com/DoctorsandStaff.en.html
Can anyone in Eugene/Springfield recommend a good primary care physician who is accepting new patients and has the ability to schedule appointments within the same MONTH?
Denise H. replied:
Springfield Family Practice up by Rite-Aid on Marcola Rd. has Dr. Mark Meyers, Dr. Daniel Paulsen, and other doctors who are good. We've always been able to get into someone when needed. 541 747-4300.
Sara M. replied:
We really liked Tony Diehl, at OMG. We could always get in to see someone the same day, although if we wanted him specifically it sometimes was a couple days. All peds will book new patient physicals waaaay out, but you can usually get in to see someone asap for urgent appts.
Holda C. replied:
We had Deborah Fuerth, MD, from PeaceHealth. We loved everything about her. Don't know if she's accepting new patients, but we never had any trouble getting Juniper scheduled.
Lillia M. replied:
We use Dr. Miller at OMG. OMG is great for scheduling.

ShiivaInu replied:
I have Karen Blundon at Riverstone Clinic in Springfield. I do not like the area it's in, but I've always felt welcomed at the clinic. My doctor has had long phone calls with me about issues, and she really seems to listen and care about figuring things out. They tend to be pretty busy lately, so if there's an important issue they will usually get a nurse to call you and talk or find a clinician who can see you. Super helpful. One thing I will say is that I think a technician gave me a serious injury by improperly administering a tdap vaccine. It happened on a day that I saw someone other than my doctor and I'm going to the ER about the pain tomorrow. Just in general, try to get shots done by actual doctors. I am not faulting the clinic as a whole. I tend to not trust doctors or dentists, and have felt talked down to by a lot of male doctors in the past, so I am serious when I say they have treated me well.
