I loved Dr. Peter Blank's office in Bernardsville/Basking Ridge. He's a sports medicine Dr and his Physician's Asst Dana Cortese is AWESOME. I had a badly fractured ankle a few years ago and they were very understanding that I was more worried about training for the marathon than anything--they were understanding and realistic at the same time. Not once did she say "you need to stop running" or any garbage like that. After some PT and a few xrays, I was good to go. I highly recommend them. http://www.ucomparehealthcare.com/drs/peter_blank/

Hi Lynne- I am not looking to sway you- as I do not know the physicians mentioned above... but I work at St Barnabas and highly recommend Dr Michael Reiber in Millburn. He is good to see for ankles and knees. He is not a “mushy gushy” guy at all- but will totally tell you how it is (which I appreciate from a physician) and understands us runners He specializes in sports medicine and I've seen him for my ankle before: http://gamedaydoc.com/

agreed, Peter Blank. And Dana - easier to get in to see and does better with shots!

David Epstein in Cedar Knolls has been excellent. Very understanding with runners!

Oops. On second thought... Dr Epstein is foot and ankle-- but excellent for that. He's part of tri county.
