Hey! My tattoo loving/tattooed friends who do you recommend for a magpie tattoo? Who is really good at birds ? I will travel to the right artists.
Sandra G. replied:
Clare or Megan would be my recommendation, Clare is starting a large project with me in March that includes a pet portrait, she is very talented and really nice to deal with as well. Atomic Zombie has some good artist but be really selective, my experience there was really crappy-lots of ego and poor artistry- but it was just the one artist I dealt with.
Sandra H. replied:
One of my artists Amy Trudeau at Shades of Grey on whyte ave is wonderful with birds.
Pat M. replied:
their site is.. err well home rolled as you can see, but they have portfolios up at least: http://www.rivercityinkandsteel.com/

I've had some great experiences at Embedded Tattoo and Piercing. I got my first and absolute favourite tattoo done there at the age of 16. But I would for sure advise he go online and look at portfolios of the artists of parlours nearby. It's time consuming, but sometimes you just find an artist whose style you love!
