Respectable Car Mechanic in STL area? Does anyone know of a reliable car mechanic in the STL area? Been living here for a while and I am having a hard time finding one....

I like Car-Doc in Maryland Heights. Very honest. Told me about a $1500 fix for my car, but recommended against it and instead gave me some advice on an easy way to avoid the problem in the future. I’m sure a dealer would have said the fix was the only option.

Solo Performance Specialties is by far the best shop for anything suspension or tire related. I believe he does other things too, but his prices are ridiculously low and his work is top notch. Ask anyone that does track or autocross or any car Motorsports around Saint Louis and they probably go to him or know him. As someone who does 95% of my own work on my cars, because I don’t trust anybody else, I trust him with anything. Just a nice dude there to help.

I see you have a Honda. What's the issue you're wanting to have fixed/looked at? LPS Autoworks on Hampton is a great little place. They are former Honda certified dealer mechanics. Definitely won't rip you off and will do a good job.

I'm a big fan of Lens Auto on Lackland. They've squeezed me in for small emergency stuff several times even on a very busy day. My car was broke down not far from their shop and they towed me in without me having to pay for a tow truck. Always very accommodating!

When I had a mid-00 s Toyota, I always took it to Ferguson Motor Service, 32 N. Florissant Rd. Good service and pricing. I am still under a maintenance plan at Bommarito for a new vehicle I purchased so am taking it there for now, but will most likely go back to Ferguson Motor Service once the Bommarito plan is no longer in effect.

I've been going to Telle Tire on Lindell (formerly Midtown Tire & Auto) for the past few years and have been happy with them. I'm not the most knowledgeable but when I ask about concerns that I have with my car, they have convinced me I don't need to replace anything or worry about them. Honest enough to me

Fairway Automotive on Watson does all my work. They are very detailed in their work and will present you all the options for what needs to be done. They never pressure you to buy and always let you have the final say on what gets done or not.
