About 5 years ago I was a patient of Dr. Fitz. My dog became paralyzed for unknown reasons (at the time unknown reasons) and had been going there for 4 years, since my dog was a puppy. Called that day in a panic and was told they were booked! They couldn't even squeeze my dying dog in! My dog was only 4 years old and had no other prior issues such as this. I called my parents in a total panic and that is when I was told by my Dad to call Dr. Brooks. I caalled and Dr. Brooks got me in about 15 minutes after I called, he said "Come right now, we'll squeeze you in." I NEVER had gone to Dr. Brooks prior to that call, he didn't even know me or my dog! Talk about a caring man. The next day we had to send our dog over to Rainbow Bridge and Dr. Brooks cried with us as we said goodbye. My husband and I were a mess and beside ourselves, to say the least, and Dr. Brooks felt that and comforted us and cared enough to cry with us. I have NEVER met another vet like him and probably never will. Needless to say, we LOVE Dr. Brooks and his staff. Dr. Brooks has done right by us with two dogs, our previous and now our current.
