Depending on what you are looking for. For something really clean, mom and pop place, friendly people, basic needs, The Cedars Motel just on the northern edge of town. For clean, pet friendly, bigger rooms, breakfast, pool, in town, The Budget Host St. Ignace.

If you want to come 4 more exits south the hometown inn in Indian river is nice. Very clean and nice pool. It's on brudy rd right off m68 exit. There are lots of mackinaw hotels but not all stay open all winter. Safe travels
Roberta R. replied:
Stay in St Ignace, it's usually less expensive. Bavarian House

We just moved back to Michigan from Wisconsin. Traveled that route for 34 years. Price point=very reasonable at Aurora Borialis in St. Ignace. In Mackinaw City, the Hamilton Inn Select has very good off season prices and a good breakfast. Evening, go to the Keyhole Bar or BC Pizza.

Hi / I’m a single dad with kids and I was thinking of driving up in a couple of weeks. Is there any attractions open this time of year?
And are there any...
Rhonda W. replied:
I think most things are closed up around town. There are places like Tahquamenon Falls and such open. Driftwood is a good hotel and has the restaurant right there. If you have kids maybe you want some place with a pool. Voyager Inn or Super 8 depending on your budget.
Carol C. replied:
Little Bear East Ice arena has Fab Fridays (open skating) if there isn't a hockey tournament
