Ignore all other recommendations. Call Chris Webbe at 537-5348. He is a little odd but a savant with appliances. Scrupulously honest and charges $40 for a house call. He has fixed many appliances in my rental units.

Call Anthony Appliance 352-4906. City guy. Lots of rehabbers and apartment owners recommend him on the St. Louis Rehabbers Club boards. Seems to be honest i.e. if there is a jerry-rig fix he'll tell you - "I can order all new parts for $300, or I can fold up a piece of cardboard and jam it under here, eliminate the clog & drip, etc. etc. for $100.
