Downtown St Pete has a few nice used furniture stores near Taco Bus. I'd honestly hit up Ikea over in Ybor. Probably your best bang for your buck.

If you still need a bed, I'd recommend one of the furniture barns (there's two, one on Nebraska and one on Hillsborough); you can get a queen size with a box spring for $125. The springs are reconditioned, but the covering is all new. They don't last as long as new though, I had to replace mine after 5 years and it was worn out at least a year before that.

I would check out St. Vincent thrift store across from the Goodwill on 34 th St and about 1 st Ave S. Almost all furniture and they tend to have some pretty nice stuff for cheap.
