Calling Team DINOS: Do you have a trusted veterinarian that goes above and beyond to create a positive experience for your fearful, anxious, or aggressive dog? Are they...
Betti C. replied:
All of them! I normally use Elizabeth Noyes but with my rescue Danes, I've had occasion to use all of them and we've had some challenges:) They have all been very accommodating, as well as their staff. One of my rescue dogs will only allow one of the vet techs to administer her monthly injection...OUTSIDE...wind, rain, snow, heat.....she does it!!!

Red Cedar Animal Hospital, Okemos, MI. Dr Meining, and all the staff there, are amazing with my fearful boy Kane.
Lynette V. replied:
Merrill Animal Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. I have two DINOS, one who is a jerk with other dogs and one who is afraid of the world. Even when they were kenneling Smiley (afraid of everyone and everything) they endured the challenge and welcome her back any time we need kenneling. Most would tell me never to return.

NJ: My dog has anxiety around strangers. He's a Bullmastiff-mix. The first time I walked into Dr. John's office, he had a book of Pit Bull photos on the table. He is fantastic with my dog, taking the time to sit in the lobby and talk with us until we felt comfortable and I have been going to him for 4 years now, and have never regretted it. http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3718036440/willowbrook-animal-clinic-john-palescandolo-dvm-fairfield

Dr. Johnston at Dumfries Animal Hospital. She was an angel with Bailey. She knew him for years, she called me at home to check on him whenever he was sick, she did research on his weird ailments, and she was truly patient with us (um, meaning ME) for the year+ that he was slowly dying. I would go back to her in a second.
