I will be making my first visit to Rincon at the end of April. What are some recommendations for the best places to eat in or near Rincon? Nothing fancy.. cheaper is...
Zazoo P. replied:
Lots of healthy choices. One of my favorite is gyro shack on 413 near the smoke shop. Jacque Sea makes great food.
Elena M. replied:
Vacas Gauchas

What they said re: La Cambija! Also, make sure you hit one of the numerous food trucks along the roads. The best, in my humble opinon, is the one in Anasco near Kaplash.......also do not miss Calypso Cafe for the dorado plate! Delicious mahi, tostones and of course, rice and beans. Finally, try Playa Beach Bar and Grill on 115 in Villa Antonio.
Jim C. replied:
Green Thumb Grill on Calle Comercio near plaza recently opened. Moderate prices and creative, healthy menu options.
Darlene S. replied:
My husband wanted me to add Sandwich Delight because it is his favorite for breakfast. Pressed panini type sandwiches with eggs, bacon etc for around $4 and they are huge. It is in a little plaza on 115. http://www.sandwichdlight.com They also do omlettes on the grill. Breakfast for 2 under $10.
Jolene B. replied:
The pizza place kitty corner from the hospital on 115 directly under Sunset Spas is amazing and very very cheap. Believe me. Pizza is my life.
Nicole F. replied:
M-F 5 pm until? look for Taco Loveland right in front of La Estacion on the 115 by the surfer statue. I promise you won't be disappointed! !!
Zazoo P. replied:
Yes. A nice small cart across byte street from Rincon by the sea on 115. You said healthy so I didn't list pizza. Stay away from Boca pizza in the plaza very expensive for what you get. It's not great The best food and best prices aren't in restaurants. There a place that you can get Thai food but I haven't been able to find the place. It's at a lady's house

We use Raul Bayron for Blue Boy Inn, too. His office is in Añasco, but he lives in Rincón and often drops off documents so we don't have to drive there. Knowledgeable and excellent English.

Does anyone know if any local restaurants serve organic eggs from local farms for breakfast, or do they all use those cheap imported eggs from factory production...
Chris S. replied:
I think The Wok cooks and sells local eggs also.
Tom S. replied:
Also, thousands of locally produced eggs are thrown into landfills because local people buy the crappier cheaper imported eggs. http://m.primerahora.com/noticias/gobierno-politica/nota/sebotanmilesdehuevos-1172780/
