Has anyone been to that new Mexican restaurant in downtown St. Joe? If so, how was it? Do they have a website? There was nothing on Yelp?

Agreed Rich Laskowski but it's been 6 months already:( hard to hold onto promises to open when you have no idea if they will..

Kim (and others) Here's the most recent post I had at Moody on the Market.comhttp://www.moodyonthemarket.com/Azul-Tequila-Update/18035622

If this "soon to be" place is going to be run by the same people who own Los Amigos, it should be great. I work across the street from Los Amigos on Stadium Dr in Kalamazoo and it is delicious!

TO answer your questions from a good source.... I might add I just called there and no one answered the phone:) Pat Moody: Remodeling activity has ramped up considerably at the Courthouse Square in downtown St. Joseph where the short-lived Maritimes was the most recent restaurant to hold court in the space that was originally designed for the former Holly’s Landing.Coming soon to that spacious building across from the Berrien County Courthouse will be the Azul Tequila Bar & Grill. Assuming that the colorful Mexican-style restaurant fits the mold cast by the owners in properties that they already own in Kalamazoo and Portage nearby, and others in Kentucky, patrons should be able to expect a broad array of authentic Mexican cuisine. Juan Carlos Ortiz originally came to the U.S. about 16 years ago at the age of 11 to work in his uncle’s restaurants in Kentucky. He later came to Michigan several years ago to help rescue a struggling family restaurant near the Crossroads Mall on Westnedge Avenue in Portage called Los Amigos. In less than 8-months he had dramatically turned the restaurant’s fortunes around, and was tapped as the top man for a new Los Amigos site on Stadium Drive near Western Michigan University. Clearly it became a rapid favorite of the region, garnering the Kalamazoo Gazette’s Reader’s Choice for Mexican Restaurant of the Year for 2011. Carlos’ uncle, Francisco Hernandez recently opened yet another new restaurant featuring authentic Mexican cuisine along Westnedge Avenue in Portage called Riviera Maya. That site has only been open since mid-March, but with seating capacity for 250 diners, it has already struck a chord with the dining community thanks to such offerings as pineapple fajitas, mango shrimp and molcajete. The menu for the Azul Tequila Bar & Grill is still under development as the renovation continues at the corner of Main & Port in St. Joe.Early indications are that a cousin of Ortiz will be managing the local restaurant which is targeted to open by summertime according to the landlords who own the spacious restaurant which has been vacant for a couple of years now. Stay tuned for more of the story as it develops.

I'm looking for places in/around Jackson, Michigan.... maybe a park as well as a good, casual restaurant..... I've only driven through Jackson, so don't know the area...
If you like ice cream, there is a restaurant there called "The Parlor". I am not exactly sure where it is cuz I have only been a rider in the car going there. Look it up though. Great food, DQ like, and great service. I'm sure if ask any one, they will be able to tell you where it is.
Breakfast this morning at Joes Cafe on glenlord. Had the breakfast burrito with chorizo and it was excellent. Fast service and good food. Would recommend trying if you...
